In April 2005, the Watershed Center was awarded a Clean Michigan Initiative grant through the Department of Environmental Quality to continue our work implementing priority tasks outlined in the watershed protection plan. This $425,000 grant is matched with $226,000 in local funds.
Key elements of this project include repairing eroding streambanks and failing road crossings, installing stormwater BMPs at demonstration sites, and planting riparian buffer strips along the Boardman River.
