The Grand Traverse Bay watershed encompasses 973 square miles and covers major portions of four counties: Grand Traverse, Antrim, Leelanau, and Kalkaska. It is a nearly pristine bay of Lake Michigan located on the northwest coast of Michigan's lower peninsula.
